Rabbi Todd Silverman joined the Touro Synagogue team in July 2015 as the Rabbinic Director of Lifelong Learning. Originally from Clifton Park, NY, he comes most recently from Los Angeles, where he spent the better part of ten years teaching elementary school, attending seminary at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR) and hiking the Santa Monica Mountains – all while listening to the Beach Boys. During his time at HUC-JIR, Rabbi Silverman served as student rabbi at various synagogues, summer camps, and Jewish institutions throughout Southern California, Montana, and Washington State.
