Jakob Rosenzweig was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, but has lived in New Orleans for more than 15 years. His connection to Judaism was reignited when he befriended AVODAH corps members in 2009. He was active in Jews Pursuing Justice (JPJ) in 2013 and 2014. Then, in Spring 2015, he helped found the New Orleans chapter of Bend the Arc, a Jewish social justice organization, with Jacquelyn Stern. Jakob is also the Vice Chair of Limmud New Orleans and has been a member of Shir Chadash Conservative Congregation since 2013.
